Further south in Puppis, NGC 2432 can be found in a region relatively bereft of bright stars or recognizable patterns of stars, so hopping to this area is a little challenging.  I began using an erfle yielding 123x, and with this I was able to see a granular haze under a smattering of visible stars.  This cluster was definitely richer and bigger than NGC 2414, and the visible stars over the granular haze were oriented roughly north-south in an arc.
