NGC 2414 is a small open cluster in northern Puppis, just to the south of M47.  At 76x, it appeared very small with only a few stars (three or so) visible.  Moving up to 123x, maybe five to seven stars were easily visible, but there was also slight haziness, the granular haze indicating that underneath the brighter stars there was a larger number of stars not individually visible.  This object was easy to locate given the fact that it is just to the south-southwest of M47, no further away from M47 than the distance between M47 and M46.
