This image was acquired with a 200 mm lens, based on a stack of 19 individual images each of which was 15 seconds in duration.  The lens was operated at f/8, so each frame was pretty dark, but the total integration time was 4 minutes 45 seconds.  Then I cropped off the less interesting areas to arrive at this final image.  Several different groups are highlights, and can be seen using the links at right:  Messier objects, Markarian's Chain, the galaxies of the Herschel 400i list, and finally the galaxies of the Herschel 400ii list.  The cropped picture is at the scale of a full frame image at 240 mm focal length.
