The north-central Milky Way is showcased in this image that covers the central plane of our galaxy from Aquila through Cepheus.  Highlighted are the star clouds beginning in Aquila and going through Cygnus and on to Cepheus, but the star clouds highlight something more interesting ~ the dark nebulae, which are seen in silhouette against the bright star clouds.  Unannotated image.
