The area of Aquila and the smaller constellations that make up the part of the Milky Way between Cygnus and Sagittarius have few Messier objects (in fact, Aquila has none despite being astride the galactic plane). However, star clouds and planetary nebulae are abundant, and open clusters in the IC and NGC catalogs present throughout the region. This evening, at the bottom of the image, terrestrial clouds moving in mix with the star clouds of the widening Milky Way as you move toward Scutum, off the lower edge of the image.
