Jupiter and Mars are becoming a pair in the morning sky, especially now that the hullaballoo over the Jupiter occultation by the Moon has passed LOL.  Mars continues to close on the Beehive cluster while Jupiter moves more slowly eastward in Leo.  Mars will pass Jupiter on November 16, so I'm hoping for clear skies that morning.  This morning Jupiter is magnitude -1.94 and Mars is +1.09, thus making it brighter than Pollux above it.  Only 15°20'54" separates them now.   Unannotated image.
