The vigil for the eruption of T Coronae Borealis continues, although it seems to me as though the publicity this case is drawing has waned significantly over the past six months or so. We were alerted to start watching for it at the beginning of 2024, but now the latest predictions are that December 2026 is a possible window, followed by another in 2027, but a different interpretation of the data suggests May 2029 could be the beginning of a possible eruption window. Our picture from October 6 clearly shows that T is still as faint as ever. Unannotated image. |
