Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury are are comfortably visible in the same field of view of a 55 mm lens now. High clouds and haze unfortunately resulted in large halos around the bright planets. On this evening, Venus shone at magnitude -3.99, Jupiter at magnitude -1.90, and Mercury at -0.23, which would make it the fourth brightest star in the night sky, just behind Alpha Centauri.
