Uranus is still retrograding in western Taurus, south of the Pleiades star cluster. This view was obtained in southern Texas on a remote county road southwest of Hebbronville, which is itself southeast of Laredo. Uranus is magnitude +5.65 this evening, and if I were looking at it through a telescope at high power, I could detect its 3.7 arcsecond diameter. Unannotated image. |
