Venus now rises a little less than 90 minutes before the Sun, so our opportunities to catch it in a dark sky are just about over.  Here we see Venus just above the star η Virginis, with both planet and star lying north of the ecliptic.  Venus is magnitude -3.94 this morning and now at an elongation of only 19°56'56" from the Sun.  Unannotated image.
