Jupiter continues to slowly creep eastward along the ecliptic in central Gemini, now visibly separating from δ Geminorum compared to its position on September 8. Jupiter is magnitude -2.12 this morning. This image was taken with a little different approach from my usual ~ here, I used a zoom lens set to just barely capture the main outline of Gemini and shot wide open for a short, untracked exposure to enhance the appearance of the bright stars. Unannotated image. |
