Venus continues to dominate the morning sky, rising almost three hours before the Sun, but now Jupiter is climbing high enough out of the twilight to also be seen in darkness.  This morning, Venus is magnitude -4.02, Jupiter is magnitude -1.92, and 17°01'36" separate them.  This view showing the ecliptic reveals that Jupiter is almost exactly on Earth's orbital plane, while Venus remains well to the south of it.  Unannotated image.
