Venus was joined by the crescent Moon this morning to form a lovely pairing to the lower left of the Hyades cluster and Aldebaran. I just missed catching Uranus in the shot; the Magician according to Gustav Holst is just off the upper right part of the picture, above the Hyades cluster. Venus and the Moon appear to be almost level because the Moon is well north of the ecliptic and Venus well south of it. Unannotated image. |
