The crescent Moon occulted most of the stars in the Pleiades for North American observers on the morning of July 20, 2025.  I had to travel several hours to a point southwest of Richmond, Virginia in order to find clear skies to image the event, and as we can see, the scene I captured revealed the Moon just about to occult the stars Maia and Taygenta on the north side of the famous cluster.  500 mm telephoto view.  Unannotated image.
