This galaxy was not too difficult to locate; I swept up almost due north from the double star north of M61 to a pair of stars, then making note of another single star due east of the pair, go north to a position that marks nearly a right triangle with those stars, to find NGC 4339.  I was able to see it after trying with averted vision for a short time, and noted that it's location was just north of a field star, and that it had a definitely extended look to it, i.e., not just a fuzzy point like NGC 4264 was.  This one is likely to be interesting from a dark site.
