This chart shows the detailed telescopic views I had for three of the first four Herschel 400 ii galaxies in Coma Berenices, along with the little star patterns I used in the eyepiece to help locate them.  NGC 4136 did not have any stars near it to help locate it, I just eventually found the broad faint glow of the object in the place where it should have been.  The other galaxies required repeated checking against DSS images to confirm the locations against the reference stars.
