This galaxy is in the neck of Hydra, between the head and the first bright star in the neck, so it was not too difficult to locate.  I did detect the galaxy at 76x while sweeping to the area, so even though I thought it was faint, it was detectable enough to pick it out without having to know exactly where it is.  The surface brightness must have been good enough for me to pick it out like that.  At 123x, I could see it with direct vision, although I was not able to see any structure.
