NGC 2283 in Canis Major

Skies .................... dark, clear, transparent, almost no breeze, cold
  This galaxy is located just south of Sirius, on the way to M41, and also rather conveniently situated near a triangle of stars to help guide you to it.  I noted it as small and dim but with a decent surface brightness.  Definitely one of the easier galaxies that I observed this evening.
