NGC 991 in Cetus

Skies .................... dark, clear, transparent, almost no breeze, cold
  I thought this galaxy was difficult; low surface brightness and faint all around. Could not discern any structure or orientation on this evening.  It took multiple attempts to even see it, and from the images available online, it's clear why ~ as a face-on spiral, it really does have low surface brightness.
