NGC 175 in Cetus is located just to the southwest of Diphda, or β Ceti, not very far from NGC 247, a bright spiral galaxy south of Diphda which is in the nearby Sculptor galaxy group.  This made me wonder if NGC 175 was a part of the Sculptor group.  The wikipedia page on NGC 171 (which is the same object as NGC 175) cites a distance of 3 million light years to it, but that seems ridiculous, and it turns out that every other source I have seen, such as wikidata (scroll down to distance) cite around 170 million light years.
This object was difficult to see.  I noted it as faint, no structure, no concentration; the position of two field stars making a triangle with it gave me confidence that I was looking at the correct spot and seeing it; I used 76x to observe it.
