This galaxy in Cetus is listed as being magnitude 12.3, and fairly large, so I would have expected it to have very low surface brightness, but that was not really the case.  I noted it as being fairly hard to find since the star-hop is long and there are only faint stars in its vicinity, but once it was located, I thought it was not too hard to see.  It presented a very diffuse appearance, very close to a star on the west end; I was able to see the elongation, but could not detect any core.  It was not small, at least compared to many of the galaxies on the H400ii list, I rated it as larger than average.  Going from 123x to 159x did not help.
