Jupiter is now in eastern Taurus, so in the geometry of mid-spring evenings, it stands directly above Aldebaran.  This view from the cemetery at the Fredericksburg National Battlefield was chosen for its variety of mature trees that offer interesting silhouettes as foreground masks for the starry scene.  Jupiter shines at magnitude -2.03 on this evening, which is still noticeably brighter than Sirius.  Unannotated image.
