June 27
T Coronae Borealis has still not erupted ....

June 26
Jupiter has emerged in the morning sky after passing through conjunction with the
Sun on May 18, but this is the first time I've gotten up early enough to get
a picture of the king of planets since then. Next week when the Moon is out of
the way, we should have a nice view of Jupiter, Mars and Uranus all close together
in western Taurus.

June 24
On this hot but clear, dry evening, mid-way between the summer solstice and the
latest sunset of the year, we have a nice view of Cancer and Leo setting across
the field. The clear skies (at least let's say they are very clear by Virginia
standards for June!) result in that pretty orange to azure color palette.

June 20 - A Solstice Night
This year a full Moon coincides with the summer solstice, a wonderful opportunity
for some bright night-time sky photography!

June 19
Before the temperatures soared into the 90's later today, I followed up on the large
sunspot group by getting a picture of the Sun early in the morning.

June 15
This week a large sunspot group is crossing the Sun so I wanted to try out my C-90 and
cropped sensor camera again to see if I could get a sharp image. This one is
better than my average I would say.

June 10
I wanted to capture Mars and Saturn along the ecliptic in a somewhat darker sky than my
image of May 30, but somehow I missed Saturn in this shot. Mars must have just
crossed from Pisces into Aries on the previous day. Saturn is just off the edge
of the picture at upper right.
